Save-the-date for our first FREE Teachers' Seminar in 2018! The NAGB is pleased to host a series of quarterly professional development workshops for all teachers- not just art teachers- who are interested in learning more about integrating art with other subjects in their classes and utilizing resources at the museum to enhance their students' creative experience.
Docent-led tours are back on March 25th! On the NAGB's 4th Sundays we add an exciting element to your visitor experience, giving you the opportunity to connect with and learn more about the artworks at The National Art Gallery. Tours will be held every 30 minutes beginning at 12:30 p.m. Interested persons can stop in to our Mixed Media Store to sign up for an available tour and meet our wonderful docents!
The NAGB is again bringing you an egg-citing Easter Egg Hunt that is just for kids! On Saturday, March 31st, let your child experiment with fun and creative activities during our Egg and Bunny-Making workshop, then search for and gather as many of our 700 hidden eggs as they can find. There will be prizes, surprises, snacks and lots of incredible energy.
The NAGB is celebrating the Chinese year of the Dog with a call for Potcakes. Would you like to share your experience of observing, owning or knowing a potcake? Bahamian artists are welcome to submit works in any medium: painting, drawing, sculpture, ceramics, printmaking, photography, video, textile, installation and mixed media.
