John Beadle: Still Ringing

  • National Art Gallery (Project Space Room) West St Nassau, New Providence The Bahamas (map)

John Beadle installation "Ringing Still" is a response to Scottish artist Graham Fagen's "The Slave's Lament" now on display in the exhibition "We Suffer to Remain" in the Ballroom of the National Art Gallery of The Bahamas.

"Ringing Still" brings into focus the unease that was initially felt when Beadle viewed "The Slave's Lament" and an attempt disrupt the narrative. For the first time using sound, Beadle constructed a device to subvert and complicate the notion of privilege and access.
