In collaboration with Nettie’s Cultural Centre, the NAGB will be offering an exclusive guided tour of the exhibition “Medium: Practices and Routes of Spirituality and Mysticism” on Saturday, February 3rd from 10- 1 pm, and will be led by the Gallery’s Chief Curator, Holly Bynoe and Education Officer, Katrina Cartwright. The exhibition tour will be followed by a saunter through the NAGB’s expanding Sculpture Garden to see Nettie’s tree, then participants will be shuttled to Nettie’s “Cultural Centre” on Cable Beach.
Attendees will be given a tour that invites them to investigate the centre’s exciting nooks and crannies and hear from Nettie herself about her inspirations and the genesis of the cultural centre. She will share the way that creativity manifests in her practice, including her relationship with nature, God and the unique culture of The Bahamas.
A refreshing and relaxing assortment of bush teas and banana bread at the centre will complete this memorable experience. Both the tour and visit are free to NAGB members. There is a $10.00 fee for people over 18 years -those 18 and under are free. To book your spot email Katrina Cartwright at firstname.lastname@example.org by Friday Feb 2nd, 2018.
