Call for Volunteers to assist with the NAGB Sculpture Garden

The rainy season has been kind to the first delivery of plants from the Leon Levy Native Plant Preserve in Eleuthera to the NAGB for the sculpture garden project. Having taken good hold and shown that we can effectively transplant an 100% native Bahamian garden to the NAGB, the BNT preserve is now sending us over 2 more pallets!

The NAGB is asking for volunteers for another 2-day intensive of planting and clearing in order to get closer to the vision of the Bahamian Sculpture Garden on the property adjacent to Villa Doyle (the NAGB’s building).

Taking place this Friday and Saturday, September 16th and 17th from 8 a.m. to noon, the NAGB is asking anybody who wishes to make a mark in reviving the historic neighbourhood to lend a hand in the creation of this future community park! Implements for the work will be on hand (including shovels, wheelbarrows, picks, etc).

All participants are asked to bring good energies, a water bottle, a sun hat, smiles and a pair of work gloves!!
