This traveling exhibition was initially intended as a showcase of Bahamian talent and history for a Cuban audience as part of the Fiesta Del Fuego in Santiago de Cuba, but eventually the show found its roots back home as the 2016-17 Permanent Exhibition at the NAGB. "From Columbus to Junkanoo" uses the work of Bahamian artists to add life and colour to our history, tracing waves of colonial activity as well as emancipation and independence. A great resource for schools, and for families to know just where we come from. Curated by Jodi Minnis and Averia Wright.
