About our Media and
Diana Sands is a seasoned professional with experience in media and communications management; alongside a history of working in the hospitality, banking, retail and telecommunications industries. She is skilled in business development, customer service, administration, strategic planning, social media management, operations management, sales, marketing and corporate social responsibility.
She holds a BA in Professional Management from Nova Southeastern University as well as professional certifications in training, environmental risk management, privacy management and risk management. Diana was previously the manager of Public Relations, Social Media and On-Line Communications at ALIV where she directly focused on building a successful strategy to launch the company’s brand in The Bahamas. She has also worked at the Harborside Resort at Atlantis; and RBC Royal Bank where she held regional positions in marketing and communications.
As the Communications and Development Manager, Diana is responsible for assisting the Executive Director with the planning and production of fundraising for exhibitions, general programming and capital projects. Additionally, she oversees the museum’s internal and external communications.
