On Monday, December 18th, members at every level are invited to engage in a one-of-a-kind evening with one of The Bahamas most promising young artists.
Methods in Ethereal Beauty is a members-only workshop, with Bahamian artist Jace McKinney and will take participants on a journey through his artistic process, then guide them through the creation of a unique painting that explores individual ideas of beauty and spirituality. McKinney is one of 33 artists whose work has been selected to be displayed in “Medium: Practices and Routes of Spirituality and Mysticism” exhibition, which will be opening at the NAGB on December 14th, 2017.
Designed just for NAGB members, this event will begin with a tour of the exhibition led by the artist, who will share insights on his work, then segue into a relaxing sip and paint. Inspired by McKinney’s practice, each participant will be given a blank surface with colourful pieces of paper adhered to it and asked to use this as a beginning for their unique painting. With lots of guidance and lots of paint, attendees will complete their very own Jace McKinney-esque piece!
There is no cost but RSVP is required. Limited to 20 persons, members may bring one guest.

Jace McKinney is a graduate of the renowned Rhode Island School of Art & Design (RISD) and is currently completing his Master of Arts at St. Andrews University. He will be visiting Nassau for Medium's opening and to offer this incredible evening to our members.
