The NAGB is home to many works of arts from a variety of artists. But there is one question that applies to every piece. Did the person choose to become an artist? Or did their art choose them?
The classic film, The Red Shoes, a 1948 dripping with Technicolour masterpiece, attempts to answer that question. Part musical, part drama, and always entertaining, this restored gem is being presented by the NAGB on Thursday April 20th starting at 8pm.
On the surface the film is about a young ingénue who wants nothing more than to dance in the ballet. A seasoned impresario takes it upon himself to let the beautiful dancer prove to him how far she will go to become the best.
The screening is free and open to the public we will have popcorn on hand for sale. Come out and spend this wonderful Spring night with us.
