Your NAGB wants to lend support to you, the public of The Bahamas, after the storm. Please feel welcome to visit the museum, book a tour, and spend time in our sculpture garden - all free of charge for the month of September.
We will be hosting a special day of wellness on Sunday, including a meditation session at 5:00pm with Tezel Lightbourne, and Yoga with Daniel Cinque at 6:00 p.m.
Finding moments for stillness - be it sitting with artwork, taking time to meditate and to learn how to meditate, or moving our achy bodies in yoga - is all key in the efforts to heal our nation and find peace and stability after the storm. You need have no prior experience in yoga or meditation to participate - we encourage newbies!
“We Gatchu: Sanctuary After The Storm” is a joint initiative between the NAGB and the Mental Health Professional community to tend to the emotional wellbeing of the nation, and we want to start with you and your struggles. We are dedicated to opening up space for you to find healthy ways to cope with the aftermath of the storm.
In laughter, in tears, in all the muddled feelings…
