The Friends of the Arts in The Bahamas (FAB) Foundation was incorporated in 2016 as a non-profit organization dedicated to supporting creative expression and national developing through art and architecture. Building on The National Art Gallery of The Bahamas’ vision of transforming lives through the liberal arts, the Foundation’s focus is specifically on the preservation of cultural history, conservation, restoration and innovative arts education.

The Foundation engages both local and global audiences to secure sustainability and reinforce arts infrastructure across The Bahamas. Of particular importance to the Foundation are storage, conservation, education and restoration of art. Accordingly, a state-of-the-art storage vault facility is its topmost priority. Along with this is the establishment of a constellation of sister sites affiliated with the National Art Gallery of The Bahamas throughout the country.

The Foundation’s mandate is to receive donations toward supporting Bahamian arts organizations and infrastructural projects. In line with its support of arts education, the Foundation will also establish an allowance for arts education scholarships, engaging visiting scholars and sensitizing global audiences to Bahamian art and culture.
