Jackson Petit is an interdisciplinary artist and creative professional whose focus is on painting, drawing and filmmaking. He holds an Associate Degree in Art from the College of The Bahamas and a diploma in Film Arts and Production from the Toronto Film College.
He participated in the FINCO Summer Arts Workshops for six years. He is also a six-time winner of the Central Bank of The Bahamas Art competition. His work has been exhibited extensively.
Jackson has experience in the performing arts as an actor, stage manager, set builder and set designer. He has worked as a production assistant and casting director on mainstream Hollywood films. He is also a filmmaker and he owns and operates production company Small Art Pictures in partnership with his brother, Bernard Petit.
Jackson can be found assisting the gallery with developing art-related films, multimedia projects and exhibition installation.
