Programmes & Events

We offer tours for school groups, corporations and community, civic and recreational groups. At the NAGB we believe that tours enhance visitor experience as they engage the history of Bahamian Art and Visual culture.

A Season @ Fiona’s

A Season at Fiona’s Theatre is a new and exciting addition to our programming that is sure to please our diverse audiences and the amazing community we serve. Offering a full season of amazing performances, immerse yourself in the performing arts at the NAGB.

Art & Studio Workshops

The NAGB supports the artistic community by extending its audiences, helping to define its standards and practices, and by broadening its impact.

Mural Programme

Styles range from picturesque realistic scenes of the country to abstraction and conceptual pieces. African, Caribbean and European influences are present.

Inter-Island Traveling Exhibition (ITE)

The Inter-Island Traveling Exhibition (ITE) was designed to actively engage and include Family Island residents in the museum’s programming and increase access to the National Collection.

“I think it’s time for Bahamians to really understand the depth and complexity of their own history. Bahamian culture and identity may not be something that can be articulated in precise ways because it is a prismatic identity. It’s not singular, and we need to understand the complexity of that.”
