Blank Canvas: June 22nd, 2021 featuring Education and Outreach Department

On this week’s Blank Canvas it’s about all things summer camp! Guest host Katrina Cartwright, NAGB Education and Outreach Manager, is joined by colleagues Zearier Munroe-Wilkinson, Community Outreach Officer, and Blake Fox, Education Officer, as they share insights on the museum’s upcoming Mixed Media Art Summer Camp, “Jammin’ Visuals”.

“Jammin’ Visuals” is the NAGB’s first onsite/virtual hybrid summer camp. It is designed to be a dynamic and immersive experience for kids for ages 5-17 that will explore the relationship between two art disciplines: visual art and music. Campers will have the opportunity to work with trained art teachers and NAGB staff on property for two days, with the remaining three days set aside for virtual classes. While at the museum, campers will create an art piece, paint a mural with a professional muralist and participate in onsite gallery tours and other theme-related activities.

“Blank Canvas” airs each Wednesday at 6:30 p.m. on Guardian Talk Radio 96.9FM.
