On today’s Blank Canvas, the show on which we discuss visual culture and creative community, your host Diana Sands interviews Averia Wright, Christina Wong and Richardo Barrett. Averia and Richardo are featured as artists in The Current at Bahamar’s 11 Strong exhibition series, curated by Christina. 11 Strong was designed to expose participating artists to local and international spaces and provides a platform to promote the creative diversity of Bahamian art. The series also positions the artists’ work to be featured in a roster of exhibitions throughout the year, including International Art Fairs (Art Volta in New York City, Aston Marten Residencies in Miami, and Scope-Art Basel on Miami Beach.
