On this week’s Blank Canvas guest host Katrina Cartwright, NAGB Education and Outreach Manager, is joined by members of the TERN team–Amanda Coulson, Founding Director and Jodi Minnis, Gallery Manager—and artist Melissa Alcena, who is a Bahamian documentarian and fine art photographer.
TERN is a contemporary art gallery and art consultancy business with a focus on emerging and mid-career artists from The Bahamas and the wider Caribbean. Coulson and Minnis share insights on the work that TERN is doing and, along with Alcena, speak to the artist’s practise and upcoming exhibition “In Situ”. “In Situ” opens at TERN November 10th, and showcases over twenty photographs that span Alcena’s practice over the past five years.
