Alex Timchula (b. 1951, Far Hills, New Jersey) is an American artist who lives and works between New Jersey and The Bahamas.  She received a Bachelor of Arts in Fine Art from Skidmore College in 1973. Her works, which are primarily large-scale pastels depicting still life, landscapes, and underwater spaces, have been showcased at the National Art Gallery of The Bahamas and the Central Bank of The Bahamas. Consistently inspired by the relationship between nature and fantasy, Timchula also works in three dimensional forms with shells, melted plastic, and other found materials.
