On this week’s “NAGB’s Blank Canvas” we spoke with Jodi Minnis, the Gallery Manager at Nassau’s newest physical art space, TERN on Mahogany Hill, about the closing exhibition “Inherited Values” that she curated to inaugurate the new space.
The artist Kendra Frorup, one of the duo in the inaugural show, also joins us to talk about her practise and the work she conceived especially for this show working with Mortimer’s Candy Kitchen, and her upcoming Artist’s Talk on Thursday night, February 11th, entitled “Materials and Matter” (to register follow @terngallery on IG and go to the link in bio). Kendra will be present at TERN for a closing event, on Saturday, February 13th, which will include a wine tasting and a personal demonstration and lesson based on her printmaking practise. All guests will take home Kendra’s self-designed printmaking kit: tickets are $100 for Island House Members and $150 for non-members www.terngallery.com.
