Medium examines the Caribbean as a space of diverging and converging spiritualities, presenting The Bahamas as a multi-faith culture beyond the “Christian Nation” narrative. Alongside Christianity in its many denominations, the exhibition explores Rastafarianism, Obeah, West African spirituality, and the healing bush-medicine magic of the natural world. Featuring work by intuitive artists and modern and contemporary artists alike, the 33 artists take us on a journey through the metaphysical, the divine, and religious and spiritual critique.
