Summer Camp 2026: Orange Careers

This summer, NAGB presents its 11th annual Summer Camp under the theme “Orange Careers: Exploring Jobs in the Arts”. Young artists will explore the industries that shape the creative sector, including visual arts, design, film, fashion, and digital technology.

The Bahamas is home to a rich range of cultural traditions and artistic practices, and its creative economy continues to grow. Driven by artists and makers, the orange economy highlights the value of culture and intellectual property in supporting economic development. Campers will gain insight into what makes these industries distinct, and how our cultural heritage contributes to the wider economy. As Nassau is recognised as a UNESCO Creative City of Crafts and Folk Art ↗, campers will draw on this legacy of craft and folklore to create mixed-media works inspired by the orange economy. Through hands-on activities and guided sessions, they will build skills, and develop a deeper understanding of the creative industries across the region.

The 2026 NAGB Summer Camp introduces young creatives to a range of opportunities in the arts, while encouraging them to see creativity as a meaningful future pathway.
