Tonight on Blank Canvas, host Amanda Coulson is joined by Michael Edwards, Assistant Professor at UB, Patricia Glinton-Meicholas, Vice President of Creative Nassau and Dr. Ian Bethell-Bennett, Associate Professor at UB as they discuss the Orange Economy.

Following the Orange Economy webinar hosted by Creative Nassau in collaboration with the Central Bank of The Bahamas and the Inter-American Development Bank on August 30th, these Bahamians share their thoughts and opinions on the role creative industries play in contributing to a country’s economic health.

Simply put, the Orange Economy is a term coined to encapsulate a country’s cultural and creative industries. Edwards and Bethell-Bennett, speak briefly about their involvement in Expo 2020 in Dubai, a project that embraces the ethos of the Orange Economy and includes multiple stakeholders and collaborators, including students at the University of The Bahamas.
