Tonight’s Blank Canvas is all about holiday happenings at the NAGB!
Guest host Katrina Cartwright, NAGB Education and Outreach Manager, is joined in the studio by two NAGB team members who are in the thick of planning several of the museum’s holiday events. Amard Rolle, Store Associate at the museum’s Mixed Media Store, speaks to the upcoming holiday tour, mini craft fair and store sale; and Blake Fox, Education Assistant, shares exciting tidbits on the annual Christmas ARTernoon, which is happening this Saturday starting at 12:00 p.m.
The mini craft fair will feature vendors whose work is normally on display at the Mixed Media Store and Angelika Wallace-Whitfield will be joining us with a holiday pop-up stall featuring her signature “Hope is a Weapon” shirts. The ARTernoon events are holiday-themed fun for the whole family. These events are designed for children 4 years and over and this year’s theme is “A Storybook Christmas”. In addition to art activities, there will be tree decorating, a photo booth and a ceremonial tree lighting.
The Blank Canvas airs every Wednesday at 6:30 p.m. on Guardian Talk Radio, 96.9FM.
