On tonight’s Blank Canvas, guest host Katrina Cartwright, NAGB Education and Outreach Manager, is joined by her colleague, Assistant Curator Richardo Barrett.
Barrett speaks to the job of a curator, his journey to having a career in curating and the importance of conservation and preservation in this practice. He also reveals details on the new Permanent Exhibition–the first exhibition he will be curating solo–and discusses his approach to choosing a theme and the accompanying research that has shaped the direction of the show.
The Permanent Exhibition will open in July 2019 and will be on display into the summer of 2020.
