On this week’s “NAGB’s Blank Canvas,” your host Amanda Coulson speaks with artists, Dominique Knowles and Heino Schmid, who are exhibiting together here in Nassau at TERN gallery in the show “Notions of Self,” which opened on June 10th, along with Tessa Whitehead and Leasho Johnson. Heino, a German-Bahamian, is an associate professor at the University of The Bahamas, where he has been teaching the next generation of artists for a decade. Dom, meanwhile, is the cousin to great Bahamian painter John Cox and is also one of Heino’s former students.
