Blank Canvas: March 31st, 2021 featuring Matthew Wildgoose and Brian Maycock

Site visit there early this week. Matthew Wildgoose, an actor with a robust art practise in New Providence, recently opened up a space in Port Lucaya. Brian Maycock, Nassuvian born and raised but moved to Grand Bahama, is a painter and sculptor who speaks about his career in general and, more specifically, about his recent project creating a sculpture park in a formerly abandoned area of Downtown Freeport. Both artists speak to the need to stay committed to The Bahamas in general and, specifically, their communities in the stricken Family Islands to use art to inspire and rebuild.
