The National Art Gallery of The Bahamas is proud to announce that its “Open Call for Potcakes” received over 40 submissions. Through an internal jury process we were able to narrow down the selection to support works by the following artists: Julia Browning, Dahar Butler, Barbara Christofilis, Janae Ferguson, Tamika Galanis, Thomas Hairston, Lyndera Hall, Jalan Harris, Domonique Jacobs, Allan Jones, Stephanie Jurgens, Camaron Louis, Natalia Nuñez, Matthew Rahming, George Robinson, Maelynn Seymour-Major, Gillian Smith, Katrina Toothe, Debra Trewin, Patricia Vazquez-Vandenberg, and Angelika Wallace-Whitfield.

A formal reception will be held on Thursday, September 13th in the Project Space Room at the NAGB in conjunction with the opening of Lavar Munroe’s 10-Year Survey. The opening will be from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m.
