NAGB Film Series

The NAGB partners with guest film programmers who share their love for film.

The NAGB is proud to partner with Bahamian poet, playwright, novelist and filmmaker Ian Strachan for the 2021-2022 NAGB Film Series season. Among his many accomplishments, Strachan has written and directed a number of plays; founded the Track Road Theatre Foundation; and wrote, directed and produced several films and TV shows including Show Me Your Motion: The Ringplay Games of The Bahamas and Gippie’s Kingdom. He teaches Film, Acting, Creative Writing, Modern Drama, as well as Caribbean, African and African American Literature.

This year Strachan lends his expertise to develop dynamic programming inspired by the NAGB’s exhibitions.
