Our curatorial practice is focused on the significance of having multiple entry points of analysis that leads to dynamism in the interpretation of art. This series fosters healthy spaces for reciprocation, discourse and debate among scholars, critics and curators through public lectures, informal talks and symposia. Here we offer diverse perspectives and exciting interpretations of art, social/global issues and innovations in culture. The ACE Series continues the museum’s mission to educate, uplift and inspire audiences and creative communities by providing engaging adult learning programmes.

“I think it’s time for Bahamians to really understand the depth and complexity of their own history. Bahamian culture and identity may not be something that can be articulated in precise ways because it is a prismatic identity. It’s not singular, and we need to understand the complexity of that.”
— Dr. Erica M. James, Art Historian and Curator
