Our themed summer camp offers unique ways for young artists to explore art in a cultural context while experimenting with new techniques in a fun, inclusive, and creative environment!
The NAGB Summer Camp is a vibrant access point for young artists aged 5 to 17 to connect with Bahamian art and history—areas often overlooked in standardised curricula. Through hands-on, experiential learning, campers are introduced to foundational art skills and exposed to potential career pathways in the visual arts, expanding their future educational and professional opportunities.
Each year, we welcome a diverse group of budding artists to learn, explore, and grow with us. Campers develop their artistic voices through a range of techniques and strengthen critical thinking and social-emotional skills through collaborative projects like our group mural. Camp is offered in two, two-week sessions beginning in early July, and concludes with a student exhibition to celebrate each camper’s creativity and achievements.
Guided by trained arts professionals and an exceptional education team, campers dive into hands-on activities that inspire creativity and sharpen artistic skills.
Campers have exclusive access to the galleries, our current exhibitions, and close-up encounters with collection artworks.
Each camp theme is a bridge to other disciplines, with field trips and exciting workshops that bring art’s connections to life.
NAGB is a no-bully zone, offering a secure, nurturing atmosphere. Plus, camp includes all materials, snacks, lunch, drinks, and much more!
At the end of camp, students shine in a final exhibition. Imagine exhibiting at the NAGB before graduating!
